Prepare your song, artwork and biography for radio promotion

A practical submission checklist for recordings, permissions, artwork and contact details before you open a paid Radio Naija booking.

Check the recording before uploading

Listen to the entire final file, including its beginning and ending. Check for accidental silence, a wrong export, clipping or a cut-off ending. Use a format accepted by the form and keep within its displayed size limit. A file extension alone is not proof that the recording is readable. Keep a local copy of the exact version submitted so you can resolve any production question later.

Keep artist information consistent

Use the same artist spelling on the recording details, artwork and official follow link. Write a short factual biography that explains who the artist is and what the release is about. Do not add invented awards, chart positions or endorsements. Booking contact details are for administration; they should not be inserted into public promotional copy unless you deliberately supplied them for publication.

Choose artwork you have permission to use

A spotlight needs an appropriate picture. Use the current form’s dimensions, formats and upload limits as your reference. Check how a square image reads at a small size, and avoid tiny text that disappears on a mobile screen. Having an image online does not automatically give you permission to reuse it. Confirm the rights to the picture as well as the music.

Keep the booking resumable

Use an accessible email address, review the selected service and retain the invoice URL. Do not repeatedly resubmit a large file because a payment tab was closed. Confirm the payment status on the invoice, and contact Radio Naija if the booking needs help. Approval and campaign activation remain separate from uploading; a successful upload is not a promise that the recording has already been heard.

Current Radio Naija offers

Song rotation: ₦50,000 for 30 days. Artist of the Week: ₦50,000 for 7 days after approval. Song of the Week: ₦50,000 for 7 days after approval. Commercial: ₦25,000 for 30 days, for a 30-second commercial. Song activation after confirmed payment waits for review. Commercials and spotlights require approval. Check the live booking page and invoice before paying; prices can change.

Book the right service

Promote your song, compare Artist and Song of the Week, or brief a commercial. For page sponsorships, see advertising options. These are Radio Naija app placements, not promised FM airplay or editorial playlist access. Payment, content approval and actual delivery are separate milestones.
