About
A radio you can turn.
Radio Naija is an internet radio player built around a vintage Nigerian portable set. You switch it on, turn the dial, and hear live stations from Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Kano and the rest of the world. It is free, and you do not need an account.
What we do, and what we do not
We keep a directory of stations and link your browser directly to each broadcaster’s own public stream. We do not host, record on our servers, alter or re-broadcast anyone’s audio. The FM markings on the radio are a tribute to the original set; this is an internet receiver, not a terrestrial tuner.
Where the stations come from
Listings come from the community-maintained Radio Browser database, from stream addresses broadcasters publish on their own websites, and from submissions by broadcasters and listeners. Right now the directory holds 792 streams that responded at their last check, 85 of them Nigerian.
How we keep it honest
- An automatic monitor checks every stream. Stations that stop responding leave the dial and return when they recover.
- A frequency is shown only when the broadcaster’s own listing states it. We do not publish programme schedules or track listings we cannot verify.
- Advertising and sponsored placements are always labelled, and never change whether a stream is reported as working.
For broadcasters
Your station’s name and logo remain yours. To add a station, correct a listing or claim it, use the submission form. To have a listing changed or removed, use the contact page and we will act on it. To reach listeners, see Advertise with us.
Privacy
Listening needs no account. Favorites and history stay in your browser unless you sign in. Details are in the privacy policy and terms.
